I motioned to the table where by the time he had shown up was completely set and ready.

"I hope you like Italian," I offered up as I slid the giant dish of five-cheese lasagna in front of him. I then reached into the oven and brought out garlic knots still bubbling in their garlic butter. The last touch was fresh parmesan and a bottle of my best wine. After all, it wasn't often I entertained.

Dinner played out perfectly. We small talked until the comfort level was where we were sharing old stories of past lives and lovers. We went over our favorite movies, the inevitable question of when we first knew we were attracted to men, and what led us to be at Stanley Gym. By the end of the last garlic knot that was pushed through the marina and into a waiting mouth, we knew quite a bit about each other. All except....
